Fire Ecology- Animation and Science combined into beautiful visuals.

Blogger and artist Eleanor Lutz runs a blog called Tabletop Whale; her latest project teaching the importance of wildfires in the health of forests. By making paper sculptures of six plants native to California, a state thats always hit heavy with wildfires, alongside New Mexico and Colorado. She set fire to these paper sculptures to illustrate how these plants evolved to protect themselves from fires and reproduce better from it, a reason why control burns are so important to the National Forest Service. Control burns allow the forest to remain healthy without property damage or endangerment of people/animals.
